chipped easy

Received this as a Xmas gift. I read instructions to wash in soapy water. I did, and during the wash the bottom of the pan hit the bottom on my stainless steel sink and chipped. I couldn’t believe it. It wasn’t even a hard hit. I reached out to Gibson, sent an email with photo’s as requested by them. Waiting to hear back from them. I wanted this pot, thought it was the right size and loved the color, but now I wonder how well is it made if it’s going to chip so easily. I never got to use it.

Beautiful Huge and Multifunctional

First, the way the steamer plate fits into this pot is ingenious. The color is one of my favorite aqua/ celadon greens. It is wide instead of so high it is intimidation. I filled it to the top, 16 quarts worth, of water and turkey bones for bone broth and it cooked nicely for the next 12 hours on the Cuisinart portable single burner. It cleans up quickly. This is the most aesthetically pleasing pot I ever have had. The color and tubby shape.make it feel warm.Very lightweight, yet not at all flimsy. Highly recomend if you make vast quantities of broth or like steaming in quantity.

Not as pictured

I did not get this item. I got a steamer pot with a flat “plate” to steam on. Will be returning. This has never happened to me and I order from Macys all the time. It’s a nice pot just not what I want.

Not As Pictured

The picture on this does NOT match what I received. I received a pot of the same color and size but without the large steamer insert. Instead I received a small flat steel insert of dubious usefulness.
