Why didn’t we think of this before? The pail and liners and deodorant take care of all the problems of dealing with diapers - adult or child. Takes up little room, even a person with a good sense of smell can’t detect any odor and it doesn’t look like a diaper pail. Love it!

For some reason there is a pretty big gap left once you step on the lever and the auto close continues but never actually shuts completely. Very disappointing.

I ordered this for my second child after seeing influencer Lauren Oshie Instagram story about the simpleHuman diaper trash can. I had a diaper genie and Ubbi trash cans prior to this purchase for my first child and thought I’d give this a try and I immediately regret this purchase. The diaper pail smells horrible. The gel insert doesn’t mask the smell of urine making my son’s room smell like a dirty diaper. I have to dispose of a diaper immediately outside in order for the room not to smell. I am going back to the diaper genie. This is a waste of money.

This is great for diapers and incontinence products! Bought one for a soon to be born great grandchild! A must to own!!

My son is 4 months old. I had a different plastic diaper pail recommended for baby registries, and got so tired of it falling apart we finally just threw it out. A week later this came out, and we like it so much better. It’s just overall such better quality at a good price (not much more than the other diaper pail). The good -good size for a diaper pail, not so small you’re always changing it and not too big that it starts smelling -looks really nice -as always love that there’s specific bags that fit so your not wasting space in the bag or trying to figure out how to keep it from falling in the can -super easy to use during diaper changes The bad/wish it had -the trash bag storage on the can like the our large trash can (it seems like there is room for it) -the lid doesn’t completely close, this may be just an issue for mine, but there is less than a 1/2 in gap between the bin doors. Which is less than ideal when trying to trap in the diaper odors -the recommended placement of the air freshener for this was not ideal. It fell off twice, and I don’t want to keep buying them just to lose it though I would have loved to have it.

My wife warned me that this diaper pan works not work well based off how it is constructed. But since we LOVE our simple human trash can, I figured we should still try this. It only took one diaper to notice the terrible smell leaking from the can. We then moved it to our garage until we couldn’t take it any more. I wanted to love it so bad but it did not keep any kind of odor away. Maybe this is just us but we couldn’t keep it.

I was very hopeful this would contain odors, but less than 24 hours after I started using it, two friends who were visiting told me that they could notice an odor coming from the can. I had noticed it too but hoped somehow I was wrong. Unfortunately I wasn't. I had to put this outside, which is not very convenient.

I got this for bedpan trash for my elderly father and it works great. I love the slim design and the trash bags that go with it. I’m thinking of getting a second one for my bathroom or my dog’s poop bags.

Bin got knocked over and now doors don’t close smoothly anymore :/

I bought this to use a a wastebasket in my bathroom and I absolutely love it! I wish I could lock the lid open at times.

This garbage can looks very nice. However, on carpet, the can doesn’t fully close due to the step mechanism being exposed on the bottom where the carpet pile pushes up preventing the lid from closing fully. Even with the odorsorb bag and odorsorb pod the diaper stink escapes into the room, making this relatively pricey setup not worth it. Pros: looks nice and is easy to empty Cons: doesn’t work as a diaper stink eliminator nor does it work as well as cheaper cans that fully close.

I love our simple human kitchen trash can so when I saw that they came out with a diaper pail I immediately purchased. The soft close lid is the best part…our previous one was SO LOUD when we opened/closed it. The bags also fit more dirty diapers *without* lingering odor that you might expect. We change the bag about every 4-5 days now vs. every other day. Highly recommend buying this and plan to gift to all of my friends who become new parents in the future!

While I am planning to keep the diaper can, it needs some design updates: The smell when you open the lid to drop in a new diaper, it needs a barrier or something to keep the smell from wafting out. The little fragrance things that stick on the can - they fall out when you are changing the trash bag. It needs to be fixed. You can't change it out every time you empty the trash. They are way too expensive. I am hoping that the steel does not absorb odors like other plastic diaper bin versions, but we will see in the future.

This product needed more R&D. The top doors don’t close securely. Also, the smell from the diaper pail is far stronger than a previous solution that I used. The Fragrance tabs don’t do the trick.. First time I’m disappointed in a simple human product.

It's open and close easy. The odor has grealy decreased in the bathroom. This great for babies diapers but also great for older adults wear diapers too. That's a plus.

Perfect for bedroom not noticeable in a corner and odor free even when opened to drop more diapers inside. Easy to replace bags. Live it!

My wife and I love this diaper can for our son’s room. It’s good looking and easy to use design makes it great when you are trying to get things done fast. Also, its silent close design is awesome too. No noise when opening or closing! It’s also LARGE!!! It holds a ton of diapers!!! The only thing that is annoying to us is that the lid will not close completely on carpeted floors!!! It only closes completely on hard floors….i reached out to SimpleHuman and all they said was to troubleshoot and make sure there is nothing wrong with the can….amd then they said that the can was designed for hard floors only….super annoying…but overall it’s still a great diaper can!

With the Simple Human bags this does the job very well-- less odor (we have twins) and less environmental impact than products that want to bag each diaper.

Purchased for adult usage and am very happy with this purchase.Great size and so quiet and nice looking.
