Q: Can this be used on shellacked wood floors? Shellac is an alcohol based product, very different from poly finishes which most people use on their finished wood floors. .

A: You can use this device on finished hardwood and bamboo floors. However, you can't use it on unfinished, oiled, or waxed wooden floors.

Q: Can I use this one that’s intended for Wood on regular tile as well?  Also, what is the difference between the wood one and in the power mop and regular power mop?

A: The PowerMop Wood is safe to use on finished hardwood and bamboo, ceramic, laminate, linoleum, and vinyl floors. It's safe for sealed granite and marble floors, as well. Contact the manufacturer of the floor for any questions, or test the PowerMop on a hidden area of the floor before use. The difference between the PowerMop Wood and the regular PowerMop is the type of Cleaning Solution you use. The Cleaning Solution for the PowerMop Wood dries more quickly than the regular PowerMop Cleaning Solution, helping surfaces like wood and bamboo in the best condition possible.

This product works as described! I had no problems with the mop itself. It swivels and it get right up against the base board. Unfortunately, it leaves a dull film on my hardwood floors. I also wish the handle was adjustable, I’m 5’7” and I feel like I have really lean over to maneuver the mop. I will continue to use it, because it really cleans the floors well, I just wish they would come up with a different cleaner that didn’t leave a film that looks dull.

The pole is extremely thin and bendable. It does not allow you to put any pressure on it. It is extremely cheaply made even at $35. It is not worth the money! The pads are not the cushy flexible material the advertisement makes you think they are. Once they get damp, they met down, and for the price that’s a total rip off. I would not recommend this.

I just got this Swiffer Power Mop. It reminds me of other swiffer products like the swifter wet jet. You push the button on the handle and it dispenses the cleaning spray. It only does enough for a light clean up.

My wood floors were looking dull, even after sweeping. I sprung for this mop and I am so glad I did. Now when ice and salt are tracked in from my dogs, (because they don't ever wipe their feet) A quick once over with the power mop and my floors are as good as new.

I love this!! I bought myself an after Christmas present and it works awesome. It has a nice fresh lemon scent and you won’t believe how quick it dries. The wide surface area allows you to cover a lot of ground and you don’t have to use a lot of the spray. It uses two double A batteries. You won’t be disappointed.

I love the ease of using this. It’s not such a huge undertaking as mop and bucket, so I find myself using it more, therefore my floors are cleaner! Does it leave my floors sparkling clean? My floors won’t sparkle no matter what I use, so no. But! It’s fully worth the price for the fact that I use it more often and my home feels cleaner.

The top part of the stick doesn’t stay in so i have to hold it a certain way when i use it otherwise it just detaches from the bottom half and then the wires come out and its incredibly annoying. After the 3rd time using it, it stopped spraying.. i changed the batteries and then there was a very light/tiny stream coming out- even replaced the new batteries thinking one of them may have just been bad but nope. So the mop (literally) falls apart and now you have to press it for 30 seconds straight just for a decent amount of solution to come out. Ridiculous considering the price of the refill pads/solution just to be able to use it. Guess this junk will go straight in the trash just like the money I spent on it + refills.
