The Edison bulb Illuminated Microphone originates from Austin TX, the live music capital of the world. This is a reproduction microphone repurposed to feature a 30w amber-colored Edison bulb for a perfect look.

It features a full-range dimmer switch on the front, allowing fine adjustments to light levels from barely visible to cheerily bright. The base, otherwise hollow, is given more stability by being weighted, and is finished with a durable pressed foam neoprene rubber to protect surfaces. The grille screen is held securely in place with metal clips, which may be unscrewed to allow for removal of the grille and replacement of the bulb.

The bulb is pleasantly warm and bright, and the dissipation of the light provided by the grille is very easy on the eye. Our Edison bulbs are custom-made according to Illuminated Objects specifications, and have a slight amber hue and a subtle mirrored finish. They are rated to last 3,000 hrs., and considerably more if dimmed even a small amount. Never worry about replacements - we have thousands, and they are available for a mere $5.50 each.
