A must in every kitchen!

I could not be happy with my 7.25 qt LC Dutch oven (Sage). I’ve been wanting one for years. I make a lot of vegan dishes and it’s perfect for all my soups. The food tastes better, richer in flavor and every thing cooks faster. I am now on a quest to convert all my cookware over to LC. And as an added bonus: the sage matches my back splash to perfection!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I would purchase it again but not directly at LE Creuset

The product is awesome; however shortly after my purchase on their website, it went on sale 20% off. I emailed on their website and politely requested they offer me the for sale price. I received a single sentence email advising it would not happen (paraprasing) from their customer service rep for America. I received no thank you for your purchase. No politeness! I thought how many Alaskans (me) ordered a nearly $500 dutch oven directly from France! So, I responded I will not purchase directly from them again. Any follow up? Nope. The follow up is today and asking me to complete a review. Here is my review...again.

worst customer support on earth

i have been a loyal customer for 40 years and still have my original dutch oven. but over time it has some issues. When i called customer service they were not helpful at all. the handle cracked off the lid and i have to improvise. I too, had to take pictures of the damage and send them in. When my return got approved i had to pay for the shipping which is expensive. So much for life time guarantees. i have not sent my big dutch oven because i still use it almost everyday and honestly i do not think i will get a replacement for it and i cannot due without it. so i use a broken pot. i love the product but their customer service is awful.

WOW! AMAZING! Our first Dutch Oven

The 7.25qt Dutch Oven is amazing. I had no idea you could actually enjoy a piece of cookware so much. We've had it for a week and, so far, we have made chili, risotto, and bread. The non-stick is awesome for sautéing onions and garlic and the sourdough bread came out perfect. We will be making pot roast, gumbo, and of course more bread. It's heavy but that's why cast iron is great for even heat distribution. Wife said she won't be able to lift it in 10 years. Lol. This will become our main pot. We love it! Well worth the money. I'm going to invent a rubber cover for the lid knob. You know, like the kind for cast iron skillet handles.

Love it!!!!

Several years ago my mom gave me her Le Creuset Dutch oven. It was the largest size, 7 qt. Although I loved it, it was so large and heavy that I didn't use it too often. I had my eye on the Caribbean 4 qt for a long time but wasn't sure if the weight and size would be exactly what I needed. After talking to the best CS Rep at Le Creuset, I took a chance. This Dutch oven is amazing. It's gorgeous, and I use it all the time. I took a meal to a friend of mine in it when she was sick. She loved this beautiful dish and couldn't believe how easy it cleaned up. I lost my mom about 9 months ago and every time I use it, I think of her and smile!

My 1st official piece of Le Creuset and I am GAGGING! 9 QT!

Quality of the piece is apparent the second you open the box. I bought the 9 QT in Sea Salt which is breathtaking. I've seared off some big chuck roasts and braised quite a bit. So much room I can load it up with a few chickens and everything you need for an amazing stock, the possibilities are endless. The biggest negative to report is the weight but we all walked into this with open eyes. It's an opportunity to include my husband much more in the cooking process, right? Side note - Per directions I did start out on a lower heat but if you're someone who is used to cooking with cast iron I would say that you can stick to what you know.

A beaut

Gorgeous. A huge step up from the Dutch oven I used to have that wished it was a le creuset. I was actually surprised at how light it was compared to my last one, but it performs much better. I got the white and although beautiful and pristine on the outside the inside is slightly stained. I have a ring inside about 2 inches up that is slightly discolored off white, I make quite a few curries. I'm sure if I scrubbed I could clean it up a little more but I figure a kitchen appliance is used, it will reflect that. It doesn't bother me or impact the overall look, but if that's a concern you have you might want to opt for a different more pigmented color.

Experience with Le Creuset: Worthless Customer Ser

Three years ago, my family gave me a Le Creuset Signature Dutch oven as a gift. I am an avid hobby cook and have been making stews for years. Although I already had other Dutch ovens that were still in technically good condition after many years of use, I wanted to upgrade my cooking equipment to a Le Creuset with a lifetime warranty. From the moment I received the pot, I treated it with great care: • I carefully read the user instructions and watched various instructional videos on YouTube. • I always heated the pot to a maximum of setting 3 out of 5 on a ceramic stove, using oil or butter. • Only wooden spoons were used. • The pot was always hand-washed after it cooled down. • After use, I always set the pot aside, away from other pots. Unfortunately, the pot broke down six months ago. Despite my careful handling, a piece of the enamel on the inside of the pot chipped off. After some online research, I discovered that other customers had similar issues with chipped enamel. In these cases, the pot was often replaced. With this information and the lifetime warranty in mind, I contacted Le Creuset’s customer service. To my great disappointment, I was treated impersonally and rudely by customer service. My complaint was immediately dismissed as "extreme use," my questions went unanswered, and the emails contained numerous spelling errors and illogical reasoning. Despite providing examples from other customers, the idea of a warranty claim was dismissed. In the end, I decided to purchase a new Dutch oven, this time from another brand. The supplier where I bought my new pot had previously sold Le Creuset but had stopped due to the poor customer service and unprofessional behavior of the Dutch Le Creuset representatives in the Netherlands. My current pot (a Habonne Baron) works fantastic, and I am very satisfied with it. It’s a shame to see a brand that positions itself as sustainable and offers a lifetime warranty treating its customers this way. Therefore, I cannot recommend Le Creuset. Hopefully, my experience was the result of an unfortunate interaction with a specific group of customer service representatives, and that this service improves in the future. However, for my family and me, no Le Creuset product will ever be in our home again.

No, I do not recommend this product.
