Q: can i use this for my 1 year old baby, he's 22 lbs .
A: Thanks for reaching out! Our Tranzitions Booster is a forward facing only seat designed to accommodate your little one from 22-65 lbs and up to 49" using the Harness. While we do recommend keeping your child rear facing as long as possible, we would also recommend checking your state laws on rear facing requirements, as well as AAP and NHTSA recommendations, for car seat usage.
submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 5 years agoBrand expertA: Yes, however your 1 year old is safety is better rear facing until the age of Two graco has great convertible seats sold at Target.
submitted byBoydoutx4 - 10 months agoA: Just to add, I also will say no. Yes this does have a harness, but this is forward facing only. You shouldn't switched a child to forward facing until 2 years old.
submitted byGeno - 6 years agoA: No, you cannot forward face until at least 2 years old. And it is recommended to continue to rear face for as long as possible. Look up your state laws.
submitted byJenn - 4 years agoA: Yes. You can forward face at a year. It is up to you.
submitted byKaren - 4 years agoA: No...Children should remain rear facing until at least age 2, even if they meet the height/weight limits for forward facing. Our son is 3.5 and we’re only getting him this transition seat because his baby brother (almost 1 and 25 lbs) is read to use his current convertible car seat, but rear facing.

Q: I have a 1 year old son. He is 25lbs and 32 inches tall. Could he use this seat?
A: Thank you for your interest in our products! The Tranzitions 3-in-1 Harness Booster seat can be used forward-facing only to help protect children, from toddler to youth. It can be used with the 5-point harness for children who are 22-65 lbs and 26.5- 49" tall, as a highback booster seat from 30-100 lbs and 38-57" tall, and as a backless booster seat from 40-100 lbs and 40-57" tall. Children are safer riding rear-facing and should ride rear-facing as long as possible, until they reach the maximum rear-facing height or weight rating for their car seat. Graco offers a line of car seats that help your child safely ride rear-facing longer. Be sure to check your local and state laws, as well as AAP and NHTSA recommendations, for car seat usage. We hope this helps!
submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 5 years agoBrand expertA: Karen, Only 8 states allow you to front face before the child turns 2. That is not "most states."
submitted byJenn - 4 years agoA: No, most states require/recommend that you keep your kid rear facing until at least 2 years old and this is only a forward facing seat.
submitted bymamarose - 5 years agoA: Yes. Most states only require you to rear face until the child turns 1. After that, it is up to you.

Q: Can this car seat be used for a 3 month old baby?
A: Thanks for reaching out! The Tranzitions Harnessed Booster is a forward facing only Booster seat that will accommodate a child in the 5-Point Harness Mode from 22-65 lb and 26.5-49 inches, Highback Booster Mode from 30-100 lb and 38-57 inches and Backless Booster Mode from 40-100 lb and 40-57 inches. We hope this helps!
submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 5 years agoBrand expertA: i Don’t think so. The minimum weight limit is 22lbs, and it doesn’t look like it offers any support for a baby who hasn’t mastered how to hold their head/neck steady. You are looking for a 4-in-1 car seat.
submitted byj - 5 years agoA: Of course not. This can’t be a serious question.
submitted byjweaver - 2 months agoA: NO. 3-month-olds need to be rear-facing. This seat is only forward-facing. There is no way you could properly harness an infant in this seat. This car-seat is good for preschool-aged children.

Q: Is this carseat supposed to come with the cup holders? Mine didn’t come with those? If they were supposed to be included, How can i fix this issue?
A: Its supposed to, but mine didn't come with cup holders either. I'm submitting a claim with Graco, because I don't have time to return it for another one.
submitted byErin - 4 months agoA: It has them but it seems like it doesn’t. If you look at the cup holder spot, there is a black plastic insert that can be removed, turned 180 degrees, and reinserted. That creates the cup holder. Hope this helps!
submitted byWhat Wonder - 4 months agoA: Thanks for reaching out! For our Tranzitions Car Seats, the cup holders are usually already in the slot they just need to be lifted up and twisted around. On page 23 in the user's manual you should be able to find a diagram of what that looks like to assist you. If they are not there after checking out the user's manual please reach out to our Consumer Care Team at 800-345-4109, M-F 9am-5pm EST, so we can assist you further! -The Graco Team

submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 4 years agoBrand expertA: I tried the hooks in a 2024 Toyota RAV4 and no matter how much weight I put on the car seat and tugged, I could not get it to tighten enough to feel secure. I was able to rock it and was not happy or comfortable with that situation. I then tried it in my 2017 Jeep wrangler with the hooks and was able to get it a little more tight and stable, but still not as tight as I get my other two Graco care seats (the 3 in 1).
submitted byRA - 3 months agoA: Installation SUCKS. It is so rocky, if you are doing a seatbelt installation (not latch) using the 5-point harness. My husband can get the latch system tight, but then we would need to move our 45 pound daughter to the seatbelt and not a 5-point harness, which is NOT what we wanted. We were hoping to move to a seatbelt closer to 65 pounds, as it's intended. SUCKS.

submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 5 years agoBrand expertA: Can I use this on an aircraft? Do it meet the FAA’s standards?
submitted byDanii - 7 months agoA: All of the padding (seat and back) is removable and washable

submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 5 years agoBrand expertA: This is exactly why we purchased this car seat. We have grandsons who are 21 months. It’s perfect for trips to the store, etc. we don’t have them in our car super often, but wanted something we’ll be able to use as they grow! It’s perfect for that.
