Description
Philips Norelco Shaver 9500 delivers superior closeness and personalized skin comfort with SenseIQ technology. Designed to prevent skin irritation, the 9500 features Pressure Guard Sensor which guides you to the right pressure as you shave. You'll also get superior closeness thanks to the Dual Steel Precision Blades: two layers of blades which improve cutting speed and efficiency. Only Philips has ComfortGlide rings, a special anti-friction coating to protect your face from redness and irritation. Philips Norelco products have adaptors with automatic voltage selection with 100 to 240 volts printed on the adaptor to select. For international travel, you may need to use another adaptor or plug, depending on the countries power system and outlets. Packaging uses plastic alternative such as FSC-certified paper, aluminum, steel, or glass with great potential to be widely circular for majority of product packaging. Switching to this model from Philips feels like a step down in quality and finishing touches. Yes it shaves, yes it cleans, yes of course there's an app for that, but I fear that this majority plastic device is going to wear out in 2-3 years. Plus, it's larger forcing me to remove other items from my travel bag.

It's easy to use, the lights help with how much pressure to apply, it's quiet, and easy to clean. I really like it for a fast close shave. I owned another brand for years (went through four braun shavers) and this is much better. I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT ONE YEARS AGO!

As a long standing, dedicated wet shaver, I decided to try a Philips rotary shaver. I had a bad experience many years ago when I tried a foil type shaver. It gave me dreadful razor burn. Not so with the Philips S9983/55. It gives a really close shave with no nasty razor burn. Battery life is really good too - I only charge it on average once a week, but that obviously depends upon the duration of each shave. The cleaning pod works really well, leaving fresh scent when the cycle is complete.

You have too much plastic around the heads cant get close to my nose. Also like the cleaner and charger on my old one. Another complaint is I cannot get new heads for my old shaver. I am getting very unhappy with your product.

This is with out a doubt the best shaver I have ever owned. I would have given it 5 stars except for the square corners of the shaving head, which in my opion has a tendacy to not glide over odd facial conformities. Round corners on this shaver would warant 6 or 7 stars... ....just saying

It's quieter, glides over my skin more quickly and has a pleasantly scented lubricant that clings to the shaver heads during the cleaning process. The pop-out trimmer works well, and the shaver works better than the foil shaver in removing long hairs, and hair on the ears. The cleaning system is quick, quiet, doesn't take up a lot of space, and doesn't require that the shaver be plugged in, freeing an electrical outlet. The only disadvantage to this shaver, keeping me from giving it a 5-star rating, is that is doesn't produce quite as close a shave as my foil shaver.
