This is easy to use and clean. Just make sure there is enough room on the counter for the head to lift up. It's great for small/med batches. Kids can use with ease as well.

Within first use noticed that the gear head was spewing medal shavings into my dough. I’m assuming there is no grease on the gears. Called KitchenAid and they are taking their sweet time sending me my replacement. For $450 this is embarassing. Hope the new one doesn’t do the same! Buy the warranty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son and daughter-in-law gave it to me as a gift, and I love it! However, the white enamel paddle is easily nicked and chipped. Would you please send me a new paddle, which I am happy to pay for.
Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 3 weeks ago and so far I love it. I especially like the 1/2 speed and the flex beater. My former KitchenAid mixer was over 40 years old and still worked fine, however I love the features on the new one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter bought this beauty for me after learning that my original mixer, of 15 years needed a new gear. This new mixer is a dream! She's quiet, I love that I don't have to move her to use her, like I did my tilt head.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband purchased this mixer for me as a gift. We have had a KitchenAid Tilt head 5 Quart mixer for 25 years but due to some baking I do, I needed one with a little more power. I am happy with the power, a little concerned about the way the dough hook clanks around where it is hooked to the machine-- is that normal? Also just recently read about not using the dough hook for more than 2-3 minutes--- I only go to #2 for mixing power, but really need to mix for 8 minutes---- so I am not happy with this limit on time.
Updated mixer replacement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never owned one of these, or any stand up mixer at all, previously so that being said, I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. I really just wanted it for making homemade sausage more easily. I quickly fell in love! So easy to use. Sturdy and reliable.
Best mixer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my original professional KitchenAid motor burned out and it stopped working so I needed another mixer and it was around Christmas time. this one has a nice color in the silver. The only thing I don’t like is when mixing butter it just sticks to the sides of the bowl and doesn’t really mix in the middle like it did with the other one not sure why the butter is warm at room temp. it just is very odd.

Not as good as before

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had previously had a 6 quart mixer (which is not available any longer, it seems). The bowl for my new 5.5 qt. mixer is lighter and feels like thinner material. It feels a little cheap and not as high a quality as the previous bowls I've had. I also purchased the bowl scraper paddle attachment. The paddle doesn't touch the side of the bowl very well, so I have to stop and periodically scrape down the bowl. The mixer itself is fine - just not happy with the smaller size and overall quality of the bowl and attachments.

Very pretty mint color. Works great. I did regret that I bought the 5.5 qt size I should’ve gone with smaller size since I don’t produce that much of food normally but that’s my problem. Just be mindful of the size you pick! Great machine though!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned ONLY KitchenAid stand mixers during my 60 years of marriage, 3 total. This is my first lift bowl and I absolutely love this mixer. It was gifted to me by my family so I can make bread easier. Its large capacity bowl and dough hook handled bread dough with ease. This product line for KitchenAid has never failed me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am learning to understand the concept! I have used beater type mixers all my life, I am 71. Although, I am beginning to like this Kitchen Aid. I have used it for two cakes, to whip cream and knead bread dough. Again, just learning because I have always kneaded dough with my hands, and I have been making my own bread for about 6 years. Always ready to learn new tricks! I gave it 4 stars, because it is very heavy which is a disadvantage for me, otherwise, it is definitely growing on me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new mixer. The only complaint I have is that it is hard to add ingredients when it is running. Even if I turn off the machine and lower the bowl, it is still hard to pour in ingredients in the bowl. I have been making cinnamon rolls every week with it, and when I have to add my flour (9 cups) to the mixture it is a little difficult. I wish there was an easier way to add ingredients.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lift stand has a bit more space to scrape down the sides of the bowl. I've used the tilt-head before and found it harder to scrape. Adjusting the height of the whip before the first use was a little tricky (It really doesn't take much). The only thing I don't like is the wire whip is not dishwasher safe. After baking cakes/cupcakes all day long, I forgot and put it in the dishwasher which made dark grey powder come off the top part when I wiped it down with water. Otherwise, it has really helped with making more consistent frostings. It's also attractive on the counter and is not loud.
