submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 4 years agoBrand expertA: It is not about the age, it is about the weight and height of the child, and if the shoulder belt sits correctly against their anatomy. If the child is 12 but only 40lbs and 40inches, they still need to be in a booster. Each state is different on exact laws, so please check with your pediatrician and state laws.
