The overall shape lends itself to easy packing, storage and carrying (with some exceptions). The wedge shape allows it to be a carry-on bag for air travel. There is an absorbent type pad in the bottom…which is a good thing. The double pull zipper operates smoothly and the fact that it extends down close to the bottom makes packing of boots and limited gear much easier. The carry handles and shoulder strap appear to be well made. There were no loose threads or poorly sewn seams.
The Problem…
This bag is smaller than my old boot bag. Yes, I knew the dimensions before I ordered it. When inserting my size 10.5 snowboard boots into the bag, it was almost impossible to get my helmet in there as well. There is certainly almost no additional room after those two items. I did find that if I inserted my boots in backwards, I could then easily get my helmet in without any problem. Doing this does leave a little room behind and at the bottom of the boots. Still…there is no way I will be getting my ski pants, gloves or anything else inside the bag.
Conclusion…
This remains a well-made bag and I believe it would be better suited for smaller boots and helmets. Even though it did not work out well for me (and since I did look at the dimensions before I ordered it), I can’t detract from my rating based on that.
MY PERSONAL COMMENTS:
I am an approved Amazon Vine Member. We are provided the opportunity to order (free of charge) many items that are new to the market, or where a seller just wants some additional exposure for their product. We are NOT required to review every item in exchange for using it. I personally only order products that are important to me (items I can use), or items that I have the ability to properly test (I have lots of test equipment) so that I can provide an honest evaluation & review (and not always a 4 or 5 star) based upon my use and testing of the product. Thanks…feel comfortable with any information I provide in a review.
