Q: Can this be hooked up to cellular?

  • A: Hello PG2020, the Amazon Fire Tablets do not support cellular service. You have to connect them to WI-FI in order to download apps or movies. Once something is downloaded to the device you can use it while offline and not connected to WI-FI. I use mine to download movies to watch on the plane. Have a great day!

Bought this for my youngest daughter for her birthday. My oldest daughter has the older version of this tablet (10th Gen) and I thought since this version (12 Gen) was newer it would be somewhat the same or even better than the older model. Not true at all. The main reason I bought it was so she can play Roblox but crashes shortly after joining any server. The 10th Gen version has no issue playing Roblox so not sure what went wrong with the hardware here. I've searched the internet and found many are having the same issue. Will be returning.

Hello Jts! I am so sorry you are not getting the experience you were expecting from your tablet. It definitely should not take that long to charge. It typically can be fully charged in a few hours depending on the power source you are plugging it into. As for the speed, I can recommend a couple things that may help. One, make sure you do not have too many apps running in the background by tapping the Multitask button on the bottom right of your screen to see what is open. (It should look like a square overlapping another square.) You will see all of the apps and games currently open and you can swipe all the way to the right to go to Close All or you can swipe up whatever apps you to close individually. Another thing you can do is make sure you are running the latest software version. You can do this by going to Settings>Device Options>System Updates>Check Now. If none of this helps and you continue to have trouble with it, you also have a 2 year worry free guarantee included in the purchase of this Kids Pro device which could get you a replacement of the same model if that is needed and available by contacting Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331. This tablet is so slow and anything you do will pop up with an ad. Also after waiting forever for an app to load this random keyboard suggestion thing will pop up without me even touching the screen and will make the app have to reload and causing me to wait a long time again just for it to happen again. Haven’t even had this for a week and works terribly. Wish I could get my money back.

Anyone else's fire tablet slow af? Only had it for 6 months and my daughter uses it only a few times a week but I constantly have to restart it and apps turn black out of no where but you can still hear it.. wish I would've just bought her an iPad.
