She has reflux and spits up quite a bit on occasion, so I have already washed the seat a few times. The fabric is super easy to clean and I love being able to toss it in the dryer! I am able to immediately put the cover back on the seat and go about my day. The seat itself seems super sturdy and safe, but the lightweight design makes it relatively easy to lift. The adjustable padding creates a perfect fit for any size baby as they grow. Folding the one handed handle was a little tricky to figure out, but once I practiced a few times, it was so fast and quiet… baby didn’t wake up! My favorite part was how easy it was to install the base. I usually have to climb in the car and muscle my way to strapping the seat in, but not with this Britax. It is both stylish and modern and the material feels lux. The fabric is very soft, the straps are easy to maneuver, and the buckles click into place easily. The car seat was a little heavy for me to carry, however, it’s not an issue since we always keep it in our car. My husband was able to install the base and seat within minutes and remarked how simple it was compared to other car seats we have used in the past. Most importantly, our baby loved the Britax car seat. Our baby hated her old car seat and would always cry whenever we would put her in it. There were definitely some features that outperform the competition, while there was a con that could be a deal breaker. For reference, I own car seats from 2 highly popular high-end brands. I was really pleased with some of the safety features of the Cypress, such as the anti-rebound bar and SafeCell technology that help reduce movement and absorb impact during a crash, which is not found in my other high-end car seats. The one-handed handlebar adjustment is a game-changer (hate that I have to use 2 hands for my other carseats) and peek-a-boo window on the back of the canopy are very convenient. It was easy to install the base using the ClickTight System and adjustable recline options. The car seat is light, weighing just under 10lbs, but on par with one of my other car seats, and the fabric is soft and plush. The only downside is it does not have a no-rethread harness. Overall, the Britax Cypress Car Seat is a high-quality and safe option for parents looking for a high-end car seat.

I love the aluminum Rebound Reduce handle and how easy it is to adjust with just one hand. It is seriously the easiest I’ve ever used! The overall look of the seat is very appealing with its melange fabric and cool light grey colors. The fabric is soft and smooth and feels like it will hold up well with washing and won’t snag as easy as other fabric choices. The cushions are very plush inside and can easily be removed for a personalized fit for your baby. I LOVE that the child fit information is on a sticker on the side of the seat. This is a great quick reference feature to help make sure the safest slots are being used for the baby. The one thing I didn’t not enjoy is that the straps need to be removed and re-routed as baby grows taller. At the same time this was not a hard task, it was very easy to do I just prefer a no re-thread feature in a seat. The install was a breeze. I really liked the click tight feature, it felt safe and secure. Overall I really liked this seat and can see it being used until the limits are maxed out. I will end with my favorite feature, the canopy. The canopy is silent, has an extension panel at the front for extended sun coverage and has a magnetic peekaboo window to see baby. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first impression of the Britax Cypress Infant Car Seat after taking it out of the box was how sturdy and safe it seemed. I won't lie, it was fairly heavy. I realized shortly that the majority of the weight was in the base. The actual car seat was very lightweight and easy to carry around. I actually really like the fact that the base was heavy, that extra weight makes me feel more comfortable that my baby will be safe when riding in the car. I received the car seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was really happy with the way it looked. The sleek gray coloring is very appealing and it has a comfortable fabrics. I was honestly surprised with how premium the fabric felt, some of my old car seats had cheap vinyl feeling fabrics. The Britax is far from that. The canopy also has a super convenient Velcro flap that works super nicely to take a peek at our little one when the car seat is facing away. Installing the base in our SUV was a breeze. After 3 kids, I've dealt with cumbersome car seat installations. The Britax was easy to install and easy to secure. I think my favorite part of the car seat, besides the piece of mind from the safety features is the one hand adjustment of the carry handle. It makes it so much easier to move and get your child around.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This car seat is wonderful! I have a five year old, three year old, and a nine month old baby and two cars. We needed options that were narrow enough for the seats to be installed correctly, and also would work well on the go and could easily be moved to a family member's car when they were in town visiting. Out of every car seat we've had (and we've tried many brands and styles as our family needs have changed) - this one is one of the best. My favorite feature is how easy it is to install correctly. Some car seats can be extremely tricky and time consuming to put in your car - and even then you aren't sure you did it right. I had this car seat installed in a minute flat and was completely sure it was in right! You can click it in with a regular seat belt, it has plenty of arrows and markers to make sure it's in the right spot and level, and there's nothing that's difficult to reach or hard to see. It was the easiest install I have ever seen. It's so simple when you need to move the base to another car, it completely takes all of the stress out of car seat installation. I also really love the rebound bar. It makes me feel like my baby has that extra little bit of safety in this seat. It's also very cushy and comfortable. Baby seemed to fuss less and fall asleep faster in this seat than the other one from another brand that we have for the second car. It's very easy to lift the seat off the base and carry him out of the car when he does fall asleep. I would not say it's light when baby is in it - it's not something I would carry a far distance - but as far as infant seats go, this one is on the lighter end. The ONLY thing I do not like about this car seat is that the shoulders have to be rethreaded to adjust the height as he grows. I prefer the seats that have a button you can click to adjust the strap height, because having to manually rethread straps becomes another "to do" list item and doesn't always happen as soon as it should. However, the ease of installation vastly outweighs the inconvenience with the straps. I really love this seat, and highly recommend it. Starting with the rebound bar, it is an excellent safety feature to have, I much prefer it over having a load leg. The install is quite easy with the base. The click tight installation is quite easy and feels very secure. Getting the seat in and out of the base at first was a bit tricky because it is different than what I am used to. The seat is a decent weight and easily able to be carried. The fabric feels very premium, it is soft and smooth. It looks really nice. I love that the fabric is naturally flame-retardant and has no added FR chemicals. Babies have sensitive skin and this is one less thing to worry about. The two other features that deserve a mention on the little sunshade attached to the canopy and the peekaboo window.

I absolutely love the light grey with the grey metal accents and it is actually super light weight which makes it super easy to carry. This car seat is great for kids 4lbs to 30lbs which is actually amazing! It has 3 padded inserts to support the little babies at all stages. I really like that the handle is able to be adjusted by using one hand which I have never seen before and it makes it super convenient. The little peekaboo window is great and my favorite part about the canopy is that it has an extra little part that comes down to make sure your babe is all protected from the sunlight. I know I have a lot of favorite parts to this carseat but I will say that my absolute favorite is how easy it is to remove the padding to wash it and put it back on. I always struggle with taking it off on every other carseat and often times refuse to even remove it because I know I will never be able to put it back on but with this carseat I swear it has never been easier to take off and put back on! This carseat is super easy to install and my baby absolutely loves it! I also feel super comfortable having him in it because I know its super padded and super comfortable! It also has this really neat click tight technology which makes me supper confident that I have the carseat installed correctly. It felt like a very high end car seat because of the design and fabrics and it was so easy to carry because it is very lightweight! Certainly my favorite feature! This is so important for me because I have a little guy who's on the 75% growth curve so anything that makes him easier to carry the better! I also have a 2.5 year old so we are carrying quite a bit whenever we go anywhere! It was also easy to carry around when running errands and going places, which we always are! I really liked how clear the base install directions were and that they were right on the base!!! It made it so easy to quickly get everything in the right place and it was a secure fit. Love the clicktight mechanism! It fit great in my SUV and left plenty of room for me to move my seat back if I needed. The car seat easily clicks into the base. It can get hung up on the hooks near the seat when removing it but that might just be user error on my end! I love the breathability of the visor. I wasn't worry about overheating in the summer with the mesh being that can be opened up to. My little guy was comfortable and happy whenever he was riding in the car seat!

I don’t know how many times I leave the handle fully upright to move around then need to set my daughter down to move it back. Thanks to this seat, that’s no longer an issue. The material is extremely soft and washable and it looks sleek too. The canopy is really nice material and covers nicely with the added canopy window. Instructions are posted right on the side of the seat and base for an easy read. The base snaps in to the backseat very easily with the click tight feature and makes it easy to transfer to other vehicles if needed. This is a great seat infants of all sizes and weights with the added inserts. A few things I didn’t like included the head support cushion doesn’t stay in place when you have straps up higher for larger babies and the seat feels wobbly in the base connection but neither affect the actual function. Overall, I love love love this seat.

My son loves his car seat and doesn’t fuss in the car, my daughter usually does. I could tell it was a comfortable seat as neither baby objected to being in it, and had a normal reaction to being put in the seat! I love the color of the fabric and the overall design. It would certainly hide any formula spit up with the color. The sunshade was designed nicely, and I liked the holder for the manual. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this as easy to install as comparable car seats. I did not really like the pins attached to a belt, and took me quite a while to figure out installation because it isn’t super clear in the manual. It is on the seat base, but even once you figure it out, it can be a bit challenging to tighten the pins to secure it. I would much prefer to have a leg that comes down to help anchor. I liked the lightweight design, and it was easy to carry with a baby in it. It was slightly tricky getting it out of the base at first. I also liked the two different sets of infant inserts, especially as my twins were preemies, and it would have been useful to have an additional infant insert instead of having to use burp cloths! Overall, I liked the seat, aside from the base installation, and both twins seemed comfortable in it!

One of my favorite features on this car seat is the mesh panel on the canopy. I live in a very hot climate so this is a game changer for me. I also really like that the top head support can stay in after the kid reaches 11 pounds. In other car seats, I’ve noticed once you take the infant support out when head still kind of rattles in the car seat. This extra support makes me feel more comfortable with in little one in in. I installed this car seat without a base to see how secure it would be into my surprise. This car seat was very snug and secure. I often travel with an infant car seat, so being able to put this in the car and out of the car without a base is huge. The manual for the car seat was also super easy to understand. It is fairly lightweight, which was great for my wife, especially as our son is growing. The blue was a really pleasant color and the shape of the seat is a bit more rectangular at the top (as opposed to more rounded seats) so our little guy had more space to relax. We also really liked the canopy as it has a mesh panel, allowing for more breathability, and had good coverage to keep our little guy out of the sun. The straps were easy to adjust and secure. Our daughter, who is 9 months, 15 pounds, seemed comfortable in the car seat and the material seemed breathable, even in the current west coast heat wave! The car seat installation was quick and easy and it was simple to tell that it was installed correctly. The only con is that the car seat is rather heavy when taking baby in and out of the car. On its own, the car seat felt quite bulky and was even moreso when our daughter was in it. Overall, we're happy with the Britax Cypress infant car seat and would happily continue using it with our current and future children.

My infant was already above the weight limit for the infant inserts and we tested without it. Pros: - This seats fits in my 3 across set up (VW Atlas)! This is one of the highest priorities for me in choosing a seat and it works perfectly. - The base install was dreamy! I LOVED the functionality of mechanism to get a tight fit. It really makes moving it in and out of different vehicles a breeze and really foolproof. - The seat is really comfortable. My infant didn't cry at all when sitting in it (something he does in other seats. He's above 11 lbs, so we didn't use the infant pillows, but the additional support of the head pillow works really well. I appreciate that I'm able to remove it too as my baby gets bigger. If baby follows the same growth curves as my other children who were chunky babies, I hope this means we'll be able to use the seat longer than they were able to. Without the head pillow, the seat is very spacious. - It is very light. I love the aluminum framework for this seat. Not only is it visually appealing (something different from the standard), but it is noticeably lighter to cart around. - The shade is simple and adequate. I appreciate that the functionality really works for this shade. The flap to open for ventilation stays put, even in windy situations, which means you're not going to constantly fight that on walks. The additional visor that flips down over the baby is an improvement to help keep the sun out of baby's eyes without adding bulk. I think it's also impossible to overheat baby if you're using exactly this set up (not adding any other items, like a blanket). So if a grandparent has to take the child or someone else who isn't hyper aware, this is going to be really great assurance that your baby is safe even when baby isn't with you. Cons: - The shoulder belt position must be rethreaded as the child grows. Others don't require the child to be completely removed to adjust, so make sure you plan ahead to move it so it's not something you have to do when baby is cranky or you're on a time crunch - The crotch buckle seems a bit bulky. Maybe usage would help break it in or practice. I'm testing this in the summer with no pants on baby and I wonder if it would be an issue in the winter. - The shade doesn't pull that far down. This may not be a big issue unless if you want more privacy or shade. I've listed the pros of this shade above.

Immediately I enjoyed how cushioned it was and came with 2 extra inserts to make the perfect fit for my child. My baby was very comfortable in this car seat and did not fuss or complain when I put him in. I liked how I could customize the fit with all the padding. The sunshade was also a plus as part of it is ventilated which is helpful in hot weather. I didn’t feel like my baby would be too hot with the sunshade over him. The handlebar takes some effort to adjust, a lot more finger strength than I initially thought, but I quickly adjusted. It can move from behind baby’s head to right above it to on the ground to keep it stable. The install for both the base and seat itself was quick and easy. It did not take me long to figure out. I really liked how light this was, it surprised me because it looks heavy but it is not at all. Even with my baby in it my arm was not sore or tired. It clicks easily into and out of the base which I found convenient. Overall I am very happy with this car seat and would definitely purchase another for our 2nd car.
