The Expandable Better Homes and Gardens plant stand is a very nice addition to my home. It holds planters up to 11 inches in diameter and up to 150 pounds.

I chose it because I had a large plant that I wanted to be higher. However, I didn't pay attention to the width of the pot it would take and I am afraid, my pot was bigger than it was made for. However, I still wanted to raise the plant, so I used it anyway. So even though it doesn't sit all the way down to the wooden frame, it still works to lift the plant. The plant is behind a couch so that doesn't bother me.

I like that the plant stand can be made smaller or larger. It is very sturdy. As you can see in my photo, my plant is very large. I have never weighed it, so I don't know how much it ways. But the plant stand holds it nicely. I am sure it would look better with a smaller plant, but it still works for me.

I would recommend this plant stand for anyone who would like the additional height or just for the looks.

Cute plant stand

I am enjoying my new wooden plant stand by Better Homes and Gardens. It is a simple way to show off your favorite indoor plants. The stand is very easy to adjust. It is also simple to put together. It came with 1 screw and the pocket-size tool you will use to put it together. Took me about 2 minutes, and it seems to be very sturdy. This plant stand measures 11" tall and will adjust from 8" - 11 3/4" wide. It can hold up to 150 lbs. You could use this stand for other decorative items, not just plants. (please see my pictures). Candles, baskets, bowls, etc. You could also use this stand as a centerpiece on your dining table or coffee table. It's a very versatile piece. It can be used to decorate any room of your home, even a hallway, and bathroom! I am currently using it in our foyer. I would definitely recommend.

Simple and versatile...

Love this simple expandable plant stand! The wood goes with anything and it is a snap to put together. It includes a small screw driving tool but I carefully used a drill instead and it was much easier and quicker. My pot is 6” at the base and 10” at the top. I paired it with a pretty 8” Better Homes and Gardens clay saucer. The only thing is, it is a bit wiggly so hopefully it holds up. I am planning to get more of these.

Simple, beautiful, effective.

This wooden plant stand is sturdy and adjustable. You can adjust the size of this plant stand to the container that it will hold simply by pulling the legs out more. My picture shows it at the smallest width. This plant stand comes with one screw you will put in to hold the two parts of wood together and a tool to tighten the screw. So everything you need is in the package! My only suggestion would be that the packaging could be better. The cardboard box was a bit sloppy and was wrapped in a lot of tape.

Such A Cute Plant Stand!

I'm so happy with my plant stand and can not wait to get more of these, they fit up to 12 inches around, nice size plantern can go inside, its sturdy , easy to open except on one of the legs i had to wiggle it a bit to open but it's smoother opening, nice little height ,I feel like it should be small enough to fit in a nice size table for a centerpiece or on the floor fully opened, can fit round and square pots inside, indoor or outdoor cute statement peice! I have a nice size pot inside now and expanded it half way too show how much more room there is

Getting more!

They look great, kind of cheap thou. the leg parts had to be banged back into place. Also be careful not to tighten the screw too much. I do love how they look!

I decided on this stand because it was small and adjustable, which is perfect for the space I wanted to put it in. I love the color because it matches the color of my Walnut floor. I also wanted a stand that was close to the floor so my dog couldn't knock it over with her tail. It holds numerous sizes and I have a 1 gallon planter in it and it will go bigger. I think its great for the larger planters because it is so close to the ground and can't be knocked over very easy. Its also inexpensive which is a good selling point too. Its made from solid wood and not some sawdust glued together. Very easy to assemble, just turn, separate and spread to fit your pot. Seems to be a good quality product at least in my opinion.

Expandable plant stand

The Better Homes & Gardens 10 inch Expandable Plant stand was easy to assemble with just 2 parts 
(legs) and a Phillips head screw that holds the 2 interlocking pieces together. The wood is bamboo which I read on the packing slip. There is a slight lacquer finish on the wood, which makes it somewhat difficult to slide the legs of the plant stand in or out. It comes with a tool like screwdriver to use for assembly, but as I was using it I found it didn't work well enough and ended up getting a #1 Phillips head screwdriver from my hubby's tool box to finish. The picture I included is of a planer that is smaller at the bottom and graduates to 14 inches at the top. It does the job and seams sturdy enough just wouldn't be my my number one pick if I were looking to purchase a plant stand.

Neither I or my son could get the screw all the way in using the tool provided.  We ended up using an electric drill with the screw driver tip.
